Description

About Jack H. Staddon, MD, PhD Jack H. Staddon, MD, has a tried-and-true process for treating his patients. He starts by investigating scientific literature for what is known about his patient's condition, however rare and unusual the diagnosis. Then, he circles back to the patient and their parents so that they can make a shared decision regarding the next steps. “I am transparent with parents and patients about what we know and do not know about the medical condition.” Dr. Staddon says. “Where there are a variety of equally good options I especially lean on shared decision making. When there really is only one known life-saving decision, I try to be clear about why that is the case when presenting risks and benefits. I deeply respect and appreciate the wisdom and perspective my patients and parents bring to the table.” Dr. Staddon is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. He completed his pediatric residency at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California after receiving his Medical Doctorate and PhD in the Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Pathobiology program from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to that, Dr. Staddon earned his Bachelor of Science at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. As a leader, Dr. Staddon led pediatric hematology and oncology in Billings, Montana, as the sole provider in that area. Additional medical leadership includes participating in research which has appeared in peer‑reviewed journals, including Molecular Microbiology, Plasmid, Journal of Bacteriology, Journal of Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndromes, Blood Coagulation & Fibrinolysis, Translational Pediatrics, and Cureus. Outside of the office, Dr. Staddon enjoys spending time out-of-doors and attending church with his family and three children.
